Our founders are technology and clinical experts who have worked on delivering health care services for 50+ years combined.
EnCasaHealth was formed through a strategic partnership with AgileNova technology expertise combined with medical expertise from ProMethium Health Partners, two customer service centered organizations, accustomed to exploring the real need in the market and a stronger focus on engaging team members and helping them to align their work to reach the main goal. For years the founders have worked alongside insurance agencies, Medicare Parts A & B, Medicaid coverage for homecare and families to contribute to successfully understanding of spanish language and Latin American culture, which gives access to the western hemisphere to build a solid workforce.
María Teresa McPhail, MD
Founder
Dr. McPhail is a physician with over 21 years of experience in the healthcare industry, working in the private and non-profit sectors. Her fields of expertise include care management and customer service. During the last decade, she has been leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver technical solutions to clients working with large populations of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Insurance plans in 35 states across the nation and Hawaii, covering 70 million lives. She has a specific background in clinical care, health care plan operations, implementation of healthcare technology for industry leading companies and strategic customer service, account management and customer service delivery. Dr. McPhail has served as a subject matter expert and advocate for customer service for population health, utilization management, care coordination, grievance and appeals, member portal, provider portal, mobile clinician, diagnosis-based risk adjustment models such as CDPS and CDPS+Rx, microstrategy and tableau reports platforms and their clinical workflows, looking to ensure best quality client attention is received. She is multicultural and bilingual in english and spanish.
Matt Wixson
Founder
Matt Wixson is a dynamic enterprise software architect, avid technologist and electronic payments veteran. Matt is the founder and president of AgileNova – a software development shop specializing in the development of custom payment and healthcare solutions for clients around the world. His broad experience in the IT field allows him to work with professionals using agile practices for development and management of all projects. Matt has a vast experience in testing and certification services for payment processor/interface certification, UI/UX testing and xUnit test case development and execution with hands-on experience designing, developing and managing enterprise systems ranging from high-volume payment switches and gateways to comprehensive care (and disease) management platforms.
